La fa finta de gnènt
ma la g’ha ‘l cör sö l’aspa
e la vède per casa girà
e suspirà e me manca
el coragio de diga:
“… ve ché sö le ghéde
come na ólta pütìna.
Strènzem e cöntem
mia de chèl che se vèt
o só za, ma dì sul a me
chei spaèncc sberlangàcc
che sbarbèla zo ‘n font,
apó me j-ó pröàcc.
Vöi, con te, turnà ‘n dré
e speciàm
ne le póre e nei sògn
scundìcc del de dré
dei tò öcc permalùs
come i mé, a la tò età.
El só, fa mal fis
töt chel strangosà
– mascheràt de alegria –
per chi no te àrda
e conóse chel ciòp
de sapèi che te màsna
en del có e chei stricacör
che te ciàpa
sensa ‘n perché
fìdet, fìdet de me
… pòde aidàt.”
Te tìret dre l’ös,
e te vét; me fo i mestér.
Se smorsa né l’aria
en “ciao mama” frèt,
sensa sügo, lezér.
Quindici anni

FIFTEEN YEARS OLD
She tries to pretend
but she is worried
and I see her strolling about at home
and sighing after
but I have no courage to say:
“ … come here once more
my baby on my lap.
Embrace me and don’t tell me
all what I can see or
I what I already know
but speak only to me
about those excessive
trembling fears inside you
I too have lived.
With you I want to be back
and to be mirrored
in your fears and in your dreams
hidden behind
your touchy eyes
like mine at your age.
I know that you suffer from
that oppressive desire
– masked under gaiety –
because of that one who ignores you
and also I know
that bunch of problems whirling
in your head and those sorrows
wrapping you up
without a reason
Believe, believe in me
…I can help you…”
You shut the door behind you
and you go away
and I go on with my chore
and a cold “hallo mammy”
fades away in the air.
